Advanced Limit Order is a special type of limit order, which includes three variations: Post-Only, Fill-Or-Kill (FOK), and Immediate-Or-Cancel (IOC).
- Post-Only: This order type ensures that the order is only added as a maker order to the order book and cannot immediately match with existing orders. It will be placed on the order book without being executed right away, avoiding taker fees.
- Fill-Or-Kill (FOK): A FOK order must be fully executed at the time of submission. If there is not enough liquidity to complete the order, it will be canceled entirely. FOK is suitable for large transactions where the trader wants immediate execution or no execution at all.
- Immediate-Or-Cancel (IOC): An IOC order requires that as much of the order as possible is executed immediately upon submission. Any remaining unfilled portion will be canceled. This order type is ideal for executing a part of the order quickly without waiting for the entire order to fill.
These advanced limit order types offer more flexibility in executing trades, allowing traders to better manage their orders according to market conditions and specific strategies.
